A foot toy is a smaller toy your bird holds and plays with using their feet. Unlike cage toys that hang, foot toys sit on a flat surface or are picked up by the bird. They encourage natural foraging instincts, build foot dexterity, and give your bird something fun to do on their perch, play stand, or cage top.

Our Classic foot toys are sized for small to medium birds — Cockatiels, Conures, Lovebirds, Parrotlets, Quakers, and similarly sized parrots. The pieces are scaled so smaller feet can grip and manipulate them comfortably. Check the product listing for specific size guidance.

Absolutely. We use bird-safe hardwoods, vegetable-tanned leather, and stainless steel hardware — no zinc, lead, or toxic chemicals. All wood is untreated and unfinished. We build these the same way we’d build them for our own flock.

Place the foot toy somewhere your bird hangs out — on top of their cage, a play stand, or a flat perch. Let them discover it at their own pace. You can also hold it out during playtime. Some birds grab it immediately; others take a day or two to warm up. Once they figure it out, most birds love having something to hold and chew independently.
