🦜 Papayago Rescue House

A safe haven for parrots in need — rescue, rehab, rehome.

Papayago Rescue House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit parrot rescue and sanctuary based in Georgia, licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. They rescue, rehabilitate, and responsibly rehome parrots — giving displaced birds a second chance at a loving home.

Whether a bird has been surrendered, neglected, or lost its owner, Papayago provides the specialized care parrots need — from behavioral support and veterinary attention to patient socialization. They work with Amazons, cockatoos, macaws, African greys, cockatiels, Eclectus, and many more species.

What they do:
Parrot rescue & rehabilitation · Responsible adoption & placement · Caregiver education & mentoring · Bird boarding · Vet assistance programs · Community outreach to help prevent surrender and neglect.
