3008 Block Type 8 - Natural Medium Drilled Slat

Introducing the 3008 Block Type 8 – Natural Medium Drilled Slat from Impeckable Bird Toys. This 6-pack of long, chewable wooden slats offers customizable enrichment for medium-sized birds and bird toy makers.

Each slat is crafted from kiln-dried, heat-treated spruce, pine, or fir—woods selected for their safety, smooth finish, and durability. At 9 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, each piece features a centered drilled hole, making them perfect for hanging with rope, leather, or wire. These slats are great for building hanging toys or providing stand-alone shredding fun.

Starting with the drilled hole, the slats are easy to incorporate into any toy design. The medium weight and firm surface texture are ideal for gripping, pecking, or gnawing. Their long profile offers plenty of surface for beak activity, helping promote foraging and chewing behaviors essential for a bird’s daily stimulation.

These slats shine in cages where birds need strong yet chewable components. Whether you’re making a custom toy or just offering one for foot play, they bring flexibility and excitement to your bird’s environment.

The 3008 Block Type 8 is recommended for medium-sized birds like African Greys, Conures, and Amazons. These species thrive on interaction, physical activity, and sensory stimulation. Every slat is handcrafted and individually packed with care in our Florida-based workshop.
